About Helena Harris

​

I am an artist and writer of the Dallas-Collin County Metropolitan area and love to express myself and themes through artistic works. Seeing my art at a local art museum in the 5th grade made me realize I could really go far with my art. Since then, I have displayed my artwork at a variety of places, locally and internationally, including Frisco's City Hall and East Germany. I am to humbled to have presented my original painting to the German Bundestag building (Der Reichstag) in Berlin, the parliamentary house of the Chancellor and German government officials. I currently study International Relations and Psychology, while privately studying foreign languages, including German, Hebrew, Russian, and Spanish. My dream is to travel around the world, aiding in cultural relations and conflict resolution, while creating art from citadel influences.

 

Bringing Art to the World

 

Ever since the age of five, when I first picked up a pencil to learn how to draw, I knew that art itself was an adventure to embark in. I am deeply passionate about art because it offers one endless possibilites in the form of a blank canvas.  We live in a world of so much beauty and potential for orginal creativity, that we often take for granted the blessings we already have at hand. Often times life comes at us and we are limited by certain struggles, issues, and fears. I love art, because when I paint, those struggles disappear and a new world of my own creation lay at wait. I make art, because imagining and recreating an idea, is one of the most precious attributes that make us human. Through art, we are able to see true beauty and meaning through creative expression.

I usually create fine artwork for purchase for offices, formal institutions, and public art galleries.  I do, however, offer a wide range of art services including portaits, book illustrations, and other requests made by my customers. I also paint juidaic themed for synagogues, local judaic shops, and Jewish households. If you are interested in purchasing a piece, request a specific painting to be made, or commission me, please do not hesitate to contact me so that I can have the piece prepared.
